Disney Acquires Marvel

It appears that sometime this morning Disney had bought Marvel for 4 billion dollars. I'm not all to sure about the "why" of it. But I'm curious to know what the rest of you think about this move. Can we expect to see Mickey Mouse in X-Men Wolervine: First Class?

I think Marvel was finally on a good path of churning out Marvel stories on their own terms with their own studios, i.e: THE INCREDIBLE HULK + IRON MAN... both produced by an inhouse studio.

Now with Disney in the picture, I have a feeling the content may be a lot more watered down and family friendly.

I just don't want the soundtracks to be by The Jonash Brothers and Miley Cyrus... *shudder*

of course its a good idea ... Disney has way better studio production then anything Marvel could do - look what they did for pixar
I have a friend who does licensing for Marvel here in Canada - she says they are all morons at Marvel - we will see more and better Marvel products now - probably too much

If this was 10 years ago I would be worried but recently Disney has been making some real strides in being really awesome. I mean we have the pirates of the Caribbean movies, Kingdom hearts, this supposed epic mickey game coming out (anyone hear about that? Picture a steam punk Goofy). I really dont think Disney is going to do anything to ruin Marvel, their in it for the money and clearly Marvel is making money doing what their doing, no need to change it. I do however wish they would do an awesome cross over, Howard the duck meets Donald duck.
